The Victim Mindset

The Victim Mindset
Victims are powerless. Children of God are powerful.

People are People

& you are not a victim

There would be no ministry without people.

Being called to ministry is being called to people. The issue with this is when you get face to face with people who are broken and refuse to know their worth in Christ. Then we as believers have to make a conscious decision to operate in the fruits of the spirit rather than the fruits of human logic.

It would seem logical to defend ourselves when false accusation comes until we read 1 Peter 2:21-25

"For to this you were called, because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that you should follow His steps: "Who committed no sin, Nor was deceit found in His mouth"; who when He was reviled, did not revile in return; when He suffered, He did not threaten but committed Himself to Him who judges righteously; who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness- by whose stripes you were healed. For you were like sheep going astray, but have now returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls"

If Christ left us an example to follow in His steps then we have very high standard that majority of Christians are not coming close to meeting.

Refuse to bow to people and their people-ing. Rather choose a life of walking in the Spirit and abiding in its' fruits as told in Galatians 5:22

There is no need for defense or argument to be heard when you are fully known, loved and seated with Christ. When you hold your peace God will fight for you (exodus 14:14). Too many people are ready to go stand in a picket line shouting out for vindication when all we have to do is remain in peace through prayer and supplication and the Father who hears us will fight for us.
