Your body is a temple.

Unfortunately that statement has lost its power.

God took the glorious presence of Himself from the ark of the covenant and placed it inside of you! Do you see how powerful this is? The ark was a scary thing in King David’s day. Scary in a holy way because if you remember them moving the ark you can see how it had to be carried so carefully and touching it improperly would kill. This actually happened. Uzzah touched the ark without reverence of the glory it contained and fell over dead. God took that power, the power of His presence that actually killed someone for touching it, and placed it inside of us! How crazy is that?! Carry your body (the temple) in reverence of the Power God placed inside when you gave your life to Him.

So many of us struggle with lack of self love. When we are all so precious to God. This is special because we are deemed worthy enough to withhold and protect the same presence that killed those who improperly handled it in the Old Testament. How powerful that God, creator of the ENTIRE universe, allows us to carry Him.

Romans 8:9-11 says, “the Spirit of God lives in you”

2 Corinthians 3:18 “the Lord is the Spirit”

2 Corinthians 6:16 “God lives in us”

Therefore we withhold the Lord Jesus Christ, the one and only son of the most high God, within our frail human bodies!!! The manifest presence of God resides within us! This concept really brings the term “powerhouse” to a whole new level. We as children of God, new creations through the blood of Jesus are powerhouses.

God loves us all so much and it is time we step into that love. It is time we take on ownership of this love and see ourselves in the same light as the Father sees us. Worthy enough to be cleansed by the blood of God’s only son and withhold the very presence that was feared in the Old Testament. We are special. You are special.

In the book of Ezekiel all this was foretold!

The Lord said in chapter 37 He (God) will set His sanctuary in our midst FOREVER!

Definition of Midst- In the middle

This is so amazing! King David carefully moved the ark, containing the presence of God, and his son Solomon built a temple in honor of God to house His glory. There were so many procedures in place to offer sacrifices and minister to the Lord. Only the priests and levites who minister were allowed to enter the holy of holies where the glory of God resided because they were holy (2 Chronicles 23). It was such a big deal to protect it and shows us of the importance of protecting the glory of God. Reading about the temple and how the glory was treated so carefully with the understanding that God placed that inside of us is mind blowing to me.

Love yourself because God loves you enough to place His most precious inside of you.

You can only love as deep as you have been loved. 

That is why it is so important to get all your love from your Heavenly Father, so you can love as He first loved us.
